In my final year at university I decided to create a piece of work that was highly personal. I decided to create a 'diary' piece which focussed on my everyday life. I turned the camera on the things I saw, the places I went and the things I did.
I used my SonyEricsson camera phone to shoot the project. The theory behind using my phone was that I always had it on me and I wanted to create work that captured the moment. I felt the camera phone was accessible and more portable than a 35mm SLR or even a modern digital camera. The phone is always in my pocket, or somewhere about my person and this made me able to shoot wherever and whenever I wanted.
The resulting images are varied and show a wide range of subjects. The final presentation was in book form and the images were accompanied by personal diaryistic writings that explained my feelings and thoughts on each image.
